About:
I was born and raised in Michigan. After graduating from CCS, I started my advertising career at Doner. Then, like LeBron, I decided to take my talents south, southwest. My wife and I moved to Dallas to work at competing agencies: The Richards Group, and Temerlin McClain. After seven years of Texas living, we developed hints of southern accents and had a baby boy. Lordy, we done made us a ‘Lil Texan. With a second child on the way, we decided to move closer to our families. Doner opened its arms and welcomed me back. For the next 12 years (84 dog years) I worked on a wide variety of accounts like Minute Maid, Polartec, Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge, Perkins, JBL, Expedia and so, so many more.
For the last year or so, I’ve become the father that I’ve always hoped to be. I’ve achieved near-perfect attendance for every soccer match, volleyball match, cross country meet, track meet and basketball game. With a new-found appreciation for taking a vacation, my wife and I hoped to impart a sense of adventure and cultural awareness to our kids by traveling to Alaska, Bosnia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Iceland, Italy, Peurto Rico, NYC, Turks and Caicos, and Vancouver.
People describe me as a loveable smartass that can talk to anyone, and that has a story for anything. Whether it’s telling stories or hearing stories — I love stories. A creative director boss once said about me, “He could strike up a conversation with a rock and find out what its childhood was like as a pebble.” I’m Virgil, middle name Eric, and last name Adams with an emphasis on AD. Let's talk.
